How to Save a RingCentral Recording to OneDrive and Create a Share Link For a OneDrive File

This process isn't too difficult, and in this article you will learn how to save a recorded meeting on RingCentral, save it to OneDrive, and then create a share link for the OneDrive file.

Step 1: Log in to RingCentral Meetings for desktop

Step 2: Click Start with video or Start without video

Step 3: Click the Record button to start recording

During the meeting, you'll have the option to pause or stop the recording. These buttons are in the upper left hand side of the screen as well as on the right of the menu bar.

Step 4: Once you record the meeting, you need to decide where it is saved so you can transfer it to OneDrive. There are two different ways to do this, depending on whether you use Windows or Mac.

For Windows

Recordings for the meetings in windows are, by default, stored in C:\Users\username\Documents\RingCentralMeetings

Step 1: In your Meetings for Desktop, click Settings

Step 2: Click Recording and then Change File Location

Step 3: Choose the location you want it in and then click OK

For Mac

By default, RingCentral recordings in Mac are saved in  /Users/username/Documents/RingCentralMeetings 

Step 1: In your Meetings for Desktop, click Settings

Step 2: Click Record and then Store my recordings at:

Step 3: Click Choose a new location... and then select where you want the file to go. Click Choose to save your selection.

Saving the File to OneDrive

Now that you have your recording, it's time to save it to OneDrive.

Step 1: Go to portal.office.com and sign in using your SNHU Credentials.  Click on the OneDrive icon (blue cloud) to open your OneDrive. 

Step 2: Select the Upload button

Step 3: Select the file you want to upload, and then select Open

Alternatively, you can just drag files from File Explorer or Mac Finder straight onto the OneDrive website

Step 1. Once you have your video, right click on it and click Share.

Step 2: Select People you specify can edit, then select People in SNHU with the link

Make sure to turn off Allow editing and then select apply.

Step 3: Select Copy Link

Once you've done this, the link will be copied.

Now you can take the link and put it in a Brightspace announcement or on a module page for your students.
