Troubleshooting for Dragon Naturally Speaking

Caution

When text is not saved, Dragon considers the application to be unsupported.

Nuance Dragon is not a free software application.

Nuance will only provide free text support within the first 90 days of purchase.

Nuance will charge a fee for technical support when contacting the support line.

Current Workarounds

First Workaround

  1. Open Dragon Naturally Speaking.
  2. Locate the Dictate Button.
  3. Press the Spacebar on the keyboard once dictation is complete.
  4. Click Save.

Note: This should keep the text in the text field.

Second Workaround

  1. Navigate to Using The Dictation Box.
  2. Use the Keyboard to enter a space in the text field.
  3. Start Dictation and see if it will save.
  4. Use the Keyboard and enter a space before or after dictation to see if it will save.

Example: Press the spacebar before dictation or press the period when dictation is complete.

    • SNHU platform, site, or application where the Assistive Technology is not working.

    • Type and model of the microphone.
