Changing your Password

The information in this article is specific to employees changing their password on-site. Please refer to this article if you are changing your password from home or another remote location. 

All employees must reset their password after logging into their SNHU computer for the first time.

Before continuing please ensure you have completed Setting up MFA

Password Requirements

Your password must be at least 12 characters long and meet these requirements. It must contain at least 3 options that are required. 

Required Not Allowed
Uppercase Letter Names Nicknames
Lowercase Letter Dictionary Words Consecutive Characters
Number Repeating Alphabetic or Numeric Character
Special Character Common Keyboard Sequences
Windows Users

 

  1. To change your password, press CTRL, ALT, DELETE (DEL) on your keyboard
  2. Select Change a password
  3. Confirm your username is correct, then type your current password
  4. Type your new password
  5. Confirm your password by typing your new password once more
  6. Click the arrow to submit. If unsuccessful, make sure you are connected to the VPN and check your password meets the above requirements.
  7. If successful, you will see “your password has been successfully changed.”
Mac Users
  1. Locate the JAMF logo on the top bar and click on it
  2. Select "Change password"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Click "Next"
  5. Select "Work or School Account"
  6. Enter your temporary password
  7. Select "Sign in"
  8. Enter your temporary password again in the Old Password field
  9. Enter your new password and then enter it again to confirm
  10. Select "Submit"
  11. When prompted to sync your password, enter the temporary password
  12. Select "Ok"

You have now successfully changed your password, now you will need to register your laptop with SNHU. See Register with Azure - Mac Only
