Build Announcements With Text And Images

Creating a new announcement

Navigate to announcements, then select the drop down caret, then select the "New Announcement" button

Adding text to the announcement

Select the headline box, then enter a headline for your announcement.
Select the content box, then enter text for your announcement. To format, highlight your text then select the option(s) of your choice from the toolbox.

Adding images to the announcement

Select insert image from the toolbox.

Select the following for the pop-up box:

My computer to upload an "image from your PC"
URL to add a "link to your image"
Course offering files to add an image from your "Brightspace course material"

Once you've selected the image, select the "add" button

Next, enter the alt text you'd like for the image and select the "OK" button to add it to your announcement

Finally, you can resize the image by selecting it and selecting the outline of the image and dragging. A formatting option panel with open as well once the image is selected
