Creating a Quiz with one central video and multiple questions (Classic)

What is Brightspace?

Brightspace is a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) designed to facilitate online and hybrid education by providing a centralized platform for course management, content delivery, and student engagement. It offers features such as course materials, assignments, discussions, and assessments, enabling educators to create and manage interactive learning experiences. Brightspace also includes analytics tools to track student progress and support personalized learning.

Open the Quiz tool for your course and create a new quiz

In the Quiz tool, select the "New Quiz" button, then give the quiz a name. Next, Navigate to the "Description" field, and click on it.

Click on the Description Text Box, Then select the "Insert Stuff" button

The "Insert Stuff" window will appear, navigate to the source of your desired video from the provided options.

After the file loads, add instructions to let students know that once they start the quiz they can't see the video anymore so they should take notes to use to answer the questions, then select the "Save" button to save the file

Add/Edit Questions

Now scroll back up to the "Add/Edit Questions" button where you can create questions you want students to answer after watching the video posted in the introduction to the quiz. Students cannot see the video once they start the quiz!

Now your quiz is ready.
