Creating an Auto-Graded Quiz (Classic)

Select the "Course Admin" button from the course navigation bar

Select the "Quizzes" link from the "Course Admin" page.

Select the "New Quiz" button from the "Quizzes" page.

Enter a name for your Quiz in the "Name" text box

Select the "Add/Edit Questions" button to start building the quiz questions.

Select the "New" drop down menu button then select one of the 6 question types that can be auto-graded. These are true or false, multiple choice, multi-select, multi-short answer, matching, and ordering questions.

When you are done creating questions, select the "Done Editing Questions" button.

Navigate to the "Availability Date and Conditions" tab

You can set the start and end date , give special access and add release conditions i.e. conditions that has to be meet to unlock the quiz in students part.
By default the quiz is available once the start date is met.

Navigate to the "Assessment" tab

First, select the "Auto-publish attempt results immediately upon completion" checkbox. Then select the Grade Item you created to correspond with this Quiz. Then select the "Sync to grade book on publish" check box.

Finally, select the "Save and Close" button.
