How to Add a Peregrine Link in Brightspace

Updated on

This job aid walks instructors through the process of adding a Peregrine link to a course module in Brightspace. Peregrine links are added through Brightspace's External Learning Tools feature and are available in three versions, each corresponding to a different course level. Selecting the correct version ensures students are directed to the appropriate Peregrine assessment for the course.

Step 1 : Select the Module

Navigate to the course content area and select the module where the Peregrine link should be added. This is the module students will access to find and complete the Peregrine assessment.

Step 2 : Open External Learning Tools

Inside the selected module, click "Existing Activities" to open the dropdown menu. Scroll down within the dropdown and select "External Learning Tools" A new list will appear showing the external tools available in the course.

Inside the External Learning Tools list, scroll down to locate the Peregrine links. There are three versions available, each tied to a specific course level. Select the one that matches the level of the course being taught:

•     Peregrine – UC AS: Select this option if you are teaching an associate-level course.

•     Peregrine – UC BS: Select this option if you are teaching a bachelor-level course.

•     Peregrine – UC MBA MS: Select this option if you are teaching a master's-level course.

Once the correct Peregrine link has been selected, it will appear listed under the module. Open the link and edit it as needed to fit the course setup.

And that's it you have successfully created and setup the peregrine link for your module.
