Getting Started with Azure for Students

Account Creation

Create your student Azure account starting from the associated Microsoft web page. Select the "Start free" button to begin.

You may be prompted to sign in to Microsoft. Enter your SNHU account credentials and continue.

Enter your name, email, phone number, and address. Use your SNHU email address. If you encounter an error, try entering the following address for SNHU's campus:

Agree to the Microsoft Customer Agreement by checking the box, then select the "Sign up" button.

You may be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication for your account. In the future, this will be mandatory for all Microsoft Azure accounts, so it is recommended to set it up now. Select the "Next" button and follow the instructions to enable multi-factor authentication.

Software Installation

Now that your account has been created, let's install some software. Select "Software" from the side menu.

Type in the search bar to search for the software you want to install. Then, select the correct name from the search results. For example, you can search for "visio" and select the version you want to install from the list.

A panel will open displaying details about the software. You may select "View Key" to view your key for this software, or "Download" to begin installing the software.
