Microsoft Teams is a collaboration platform that integrates chat, video meetings, and file sharing to enhance communication and teamwork across organizations.
Installation
- Go to the Microsoft Teams download page (opens in a new window) by Microsoft.
- Click Download for desktop or scroll down.
- Click Download Teams.
4. Click the downloaded .pkg file to open. The installer will open.
5. Click Continue to move past the Introduction.
6. Click Continue for the installation type.
7.Click Install.
8. Enter your computer password, then click Install Software. You'll see a message that indicates the installation was successful.
9. Click Close to close the installer.
10. Click Move to Trash to remove the installer.
11. A Microsoft Sign in prompt will appear. Enter your[SNHU ID]@snhu.edu email in the available field and click Next.
Your SNHU ID will be your first name.last name if you are a student.
Your SNHU ID will be first initial.last name if you are a faculty member.
12. The SNHU Login page will appear. Log in with your SNHU credentials and two-step authenticate.
13. A notification that “Microsoft Teams would like to use Bluetooth” might appear. To confirm Bluetooth access, click OK.
14. Teams is now available to open. Click the Teams app icon in your dock, or search “Teams” with the Spotlight Search.
15. To view the welcome walkthrough information, click Let’s do this! or close the welcome walkthrough screen. Your Teams will open to the homepage and look something like the screenshot below.
You can now access all Teams functions locally on your Mac.
