Downloading a Recording Transcript

Microsoft 365 - Stream is a deeply integrated app ecosystem that allows the user to add and consume videos within other apps such as Teams, Viva Engage, Viva, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

Stream is commonly used at work to: Record and watch Microsoft Teams meetings with automatically generated transcriptions.

Here's how you can download a recording transcript in Stream.

1. Under "Video Settings," select the "Transcript and captions" option.

Transcript and captions help create inclusive content. Owners are able to hide transcripts and captions.

2. Select the "Generate" option or "Upload" option if there is no current transcription for the recording.

Selecting the "Generate" option will prompt you to select a language for your transcription.

Note: This may take a few minutes to finish generating the transcript.

Selecting the "Upload" option will have you select your language, select a file, and select "Done".

Note: Be sure the file is of a file type Stream accepts or else it will not allow your transcription file to be uploaded.

3. Select the Hamburger icon and select the "Download" option.

4. Select your desired downloading option.
