Tips to get Read&Write to work for you

Updated on

What to do when Read&Write is not working:

  • Use the Screenshot Reader.
    • The Texthelp Screenshot reader is used when a user might experience this issue. The Screenshot Reader tool in Read&Write allows users to access text within images or other visual elements on a screen that might not be readable when pressing the play button.
    • The Screenshot Reader tool will essentially make text in pictures, text in images, or text in virtual labs, such as in Apporto, readable to users, particularly when the virtual or digital content isn't properly formatted or is encrypted, preventing the play button from reading the content.

Here is How To Use the Screenshot Reader:

  • Open Read&Write Desktop Application.
  • Choose the “Screenshot Reader” tool.

  • Use the icons in the bottom corner of the text box to pause, play, and stop spoken text.
    • You can also copy the text within the box to your device’s clipboard using the clipboard icon on the right.
