What is ZoomText?

ZoomText is a screen magnification program that helps people with low vision see and use their computer. It is available for Microsoft Windows Users. ZoomText is not free software; it requires a purchased license, typically offered as an annual subscription or a perpetual license, depending on the chosen vendor and package. 

Features

ZoomText utilizes the Caps Lock key to perform hotkey commands. Therefore, when ZoomText is running, you must double-tap the Caps Lock key to switch between typing lower-case and upper-case letters.

  • Magnification: ZoomText can magnify the entire screen or just part of it.
  • Text-to-speech: ZoomText can read selected text aloud.
  • Color adjustment: ZoomText can adjust color contrast.
  • Mouse pointer customization: ZoomText can customize the mouse pointer and text cursor.
  • Focus rectangle: ZoomText can turn on a focus rectangle to help track where you are on the screen.
  • Typing echo: ZoomText can echo what you type.
  • Background reader: ZoomText can read documents, web pages, and email while you perform other tasks.
  • Recorder: ZoomText can turn text from documents, web pages, and email into audio recordings.

Getting Started with ZoomText

ZoomText lets you change screen colors and magnification levels, customize the mouse pointer and text cursor to make it easy to find them, and turn on a focus rectangle to help you track where you are on the screen.

Zoom In Caps Lock + Up Arrow

Navigate screen when magnified Caps Lock + Shift + Arrow Keys
