The Read&Write predictive text tool will help you compose your documents by providing a list of words as you type.
Using the Prediction Tool
- Open Read&Write
- Select the “Prediction” tool.
- The prediction tool can be used in applications like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and even search fields on the internet.
- Go to your desired application and start typing.
- Read&Write will show an arrow pointing to the cursor that leads to a box with suggested words.
- Click on a word from the list to fill in your text.
Prediction Tool Settings
- Number of results: adjust the maximum number of words that are suggested with the “Prediction” tool.
- Follow the cursor:
- If checked, suggests new words based on the current cursor position.
- If unchecked, suggests new words based on the last word typed.
- Predict ahead:
- If checked, suggests new words based on the previous word typed.
- If unchecked, the tool only suggests words after you start typing the first letters of each word.
- Read prediction suggestions on hover: Read&Write speaks the suggested words when the mouse cursor is placed on the suggestions box.
- Text Size: adjust the size of the suggested words.
